We do not need these Politicians to Achieve Telangana State

Danam Nagender, the AP Health Minister refused to sign the memorandum being prepared by Telangana Congress legislators, for submission to the Sri Krishna Commission in support of a separate state. The logic given by the Health Minister was, that it may give the wrong signal to the High Command, who may not like the Telangana Legislators submitting a separate memorandum, as the APCC president was authorized by the Central leadership to submit his report to the panel. Needless to say, Nagender is more loyal to the High Command in Delhi than he is to the electorate who put him in the Assembly. And everyone knows the view point that will be put forward by the Seemandhra dominated APCC.

It is a mute point, that the Sri Krishna Commission is a bogus time pass commission, set up by the Congress at the Center to put Telangana’s statehood in cold storage. What is disappointing is the attitude of the Telangana legislators and MP’s to the demands of its citizens. The only question we have of Nagender is, We can understand your abhorrence to relinquishing your office of profit in the current set up, we can understand your reluctance to resigning from your elected post which may well be the last time you occupy an elected office, but what we cannot understand and forgive is, your refusal to sign the Memorandum in favor of the state of Telangana. We have asked for proof of your loyalty to us and our state and you have failed miserably.

It is tragedy of Telangana that our history is littered with the treachery of our leaders. The story is the same from M. Chenna Reddy and his band of bandits in 1969 to the current crop of traitors like Nagender. None of these elected representatives have shown the courage to take on the power in the center nor the leadership to steer the movement to Statehood. While at the one end we have the Congressmen looking towards the High Command in Delhi, cowering in fear at each imagined displeasure and rejoicing at every smile, while at the other end we have KCR and Vijayshanti of the TRS, who cling on like limpets to their seats in Parliament, neither has attended the Parliament proceedings nor raised Telangana’s voice in the Central hall. KCR, please say how many times have you raised the slogan of “Jai Telangana” in the over 30 days that Parliament has been in session.

We the people of Telangana, do not need you and your ilk to carve out our state, we have the will and the resolve to do it under own steam. If you harbor the misguided impression that we need you to realize our dream of Telangana, please disabuse yourself of this illusion. Telangana has been betrayed by its politicians time and again and this time round we will not make the same mistakes as our fathers by believing in you. The future of Telangana is too precious to be left to your machinations and greed. It is we the people of Telangana who will bring in the birth of the 29th state of India.

Jai Telangana. Jai Hind
